Muhyiddin Abdal
• He is a Turkic
alphabet poet mentioned in 16th-century sources. He talks about mystics like
Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli, Otman Baba, and Balım Sultan. It is said that he lived in
Çöke, between Edirne and Kırklareli. • His "Muhyiddin Baba Türbesi
Mezarı" (Muhyiddin Baba's Tomb and Grave) is located there. According to
Prof. Dr. Şükrü Elçin, Muhyiddin Abdal's date of death is 1529. He is considered
one of the great figures of the Bektashi Order. He compiled his poems written
in syllabic meter and Hurufi style in a small divan (collection of poems).
