Âşık Noksanî (Zakiri)
Âşık Noksanî (Zakiri)
Âşık Noksanî, whose real name is Ahmet Kaynar, was born in 1899 in the Kangal district of Sivas. He was physically disabled in his legs, and as a result, he was given the name Noksanî by Ruhsati. He is a separate person from Erzurumlu Noksanî and passed away on May 5, 1972, in Kangal.
Erzurumlu Noksanî, included in this book, received religious education at a madrasah and became a disciple of Sadık Dede in his 30s. He tried to make a living by opening a grocery store. It is mentioned that he lost his "reputation" because of his wife, and his sheikh gave him the nickname Noksanî because of this. His poems are in line with the Alevi-Bektashi literary tradition. He died in 1872 in the first half of the 19th century. His date of birth is unknown.
He was born in Erzurum in the late 18th century. His real name is İsmail. According to the conditions of the time, his father sent him to receive religious education at a madrasah. During these years, he became famous as İnce Molla.
Noksanî's father İsmail is affiliated with Sadık Dede from the Ağuçan lineage. Sadık Dede is from the Koca Seyyid family in Sün village of Elazığ. The name of this lineage is Ağuçan, and its roots go back to Imam Hasan.
One day, Sadık Dede comes to Erzurum to see his disciples, and the family welcomes him with great joy. İsmail is not among them. Sadık Dede asks about İsmail, and his father replies, "He was around here. He will be here soon."
Shortly after, İsmail enters the room. Sadık Dede, who closely observes him, immediately notices the change in İsmail. According to the situation, İsmail has been influenced by the "Zahir knowledge" according to the Alevi tradition. He is arrogant and claims that no one is superior to him.
Understanding this, Sadık Dede strikes İsmail between his shoulders with both hands. He prays. Smoke comes out of İsmail's mouth, and he falls unconscious. After a while, he wakes up and says to Sadık Dede:
"The light of my heart, the light of my eyes,
You have become my guest in my heart since eternity,
The strength of my arm, the light of my knee,
With my soul and breath, you have become my guest since eternity."
Sadık Dede gives İsmail the title "Noksanî." After this, his deyişs (poems) spread widely. He becomes beloved by the people.
