Ercişli Emrah
Ercişli Emrah is a Turkish folk poet who lived in the first half of the 17th century. He was born in Ergans, a Karakoyunlu Turkmen village affiliated with Erciş Castle. He was the son of Âşık Ahmet, the saz player of the head of Erciş Castle, Miroğlu. He traveled through Eastern Anatolia, Iran, and the western regions of Azerbaijan, and reflected what he saw in his poems using a pure Turkish language.
