Sivaslı Sıtkı
Sivaslı Sıtkı (1809-1865): Also known as Yağcızade Ömer Sıdkı Efendi. The poems of Tarususlu Sıtkı and Sivaslı Sıtkı often intertwine. Sivaslı Sıtkı Efendi is primarily a devan poet, and he has written very few verses in the style of folk poetry.
It is known that he was from Sivas and lived in the 19th century. Furthermore, it is known that he lived in the Seyitpaşa Mahallesi of his house, and his closest friend was Sivaslı Ruhi, but no other information about his life has been obtained until today. Famous folk poet Emrah's poems mention Sivaslı Sıtkı in some verses. In one of his verses, he says, "They said there is an eloquent person like Sıdkı Efendi."
From here, it can also be concluded that Sivaslı Sıtkı was a well-spoken and well-educated person based on the other verses in this poem. It is also evident that he was a skilled poet in the koşma genre.
