Abdal Musa
Abdal Musa in the 14th Century:
• The true identity of
Abdal Musa is highly obscure due to the reliance on mythical and personal
interpretations in the historical narratives attributed to him.
• Belîğ portrays Abdal
Musa as one of the forty abdals who arrived from Bukhara before the conquest of
Bursa. Âşıkpaşazâde mentions him as a Bektaşi.
• Historians such as
Taşköprizâde, Âlî, and Hoca Sâdeddin indicate that he was present alongside
Sultan Orhan during the conquest of Bursa and had a close relationship with
Geyikli Baba.
Abdal Musa:
• The story of
Kaygusuz Abdal receiving authorization (icâzet) from Abdal Musa is extensively
narrated in Kaygusuz Abdal Menâkıbı.
• In some Bektaşi
sources and on the inscription of Kâfî Baba Tekkesi near Finike, Abdal Musa is
referred to as "pîr-i sânî" (the second spiritual guide) and his
tekke is considered one of the four dergahs of Bektaşism.
